I'm sorry to inform you that today, as the Eve's API-Servers went down in succession of the Apocrypha 1.5 patch deployment, all forum rights have been reset.

This happened because your API-keys are validated against the Eve API every hour to automatically determine membership of groups, Avatars, etc. When this function couldn't validate your keys, it removed all members from the membergroups.

To fix that issue, do the following after(!) downtime:
  • Go to 'Profile' -> 'Forum Profile Information'
  • Reenter your limited API key
  • Wait Wink

As soon as the keys are validated next time, you should get all your access rights back.


This thing has one positive aspect:
We now know, that automatic kick out of groups in case some1 leaves the alliance works. Wink

Hell ... even the patch is applied, the API is still down. And so the membergroups problem is still persistent.
The devloper of the API-mod for our forum allready works on a solution in case the api ever goes down again in future. For now we pitily only can wait until CCP got their backend database up and running again. Sad

If you want to check the API status yourself, you can just try to retrieve some generic data from the API as es the skill tree.

Oh...sorry....the API always comes back online after DT the day after the patch!

I thought you knew!

But while we think about it, small rigs wont be in the KB for a while either!
